Lindsay is finishing her senior year and degree requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.  With her appropriate credentials, she hopes to pursue a lifelong career in public relations for a professional sports team.  Lindsay’s willingness to travel will be sure to add pleasure to any adventure she may embark on.As one of the three blog authors, Lindsay will be responsible for finding delicious meals and enjoyable restaurants at a reasonable price. After living in four of the states we plan to cover, Lindsay has become well-accustomed to southern cooking. A frequent road-tripper, she has found some of the best hole-in-the-wall diners and hidden restaurants along the way. Her love of travel, combined with a passion for trying new cuisines, proves her to be a perfect match for this job description.

Joanne.

Joanne is also double majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations, and Spanish.  Joanne is an experienced traveler in the Southeast region of the United States. She will be covering the fun places to visit in a separate section on the blog. Joanne, having lived in Connecticut, Georgia, New York, Michigan, Virginia and Missouri, has extensive knowledge of the east coast. Her laundry list of popular attractions makes her an expert at finding many things to do while on vacation and has this adventure seeker well-prepared for covering all aspects of fun.   Not only is Joanne well traveled in the United States, she has also visited numerous countries in Europe. As Spanish major, Joanne studied abroad in Spain during the summer of 2006 where she attended the University of Salamanca. During her time in Salamanca, she had the opportunity to travel all around Spain, as well as visit other countries in Europe such as Portugal, England and France.

After graduation, Joanne hopes to have a job in the public relations industry where she can speak Spanish and travel more around the world, continuing to report about enjoyable locations on the Travel4fifty.com blog!

 Danielle.

Danielle McGhee is the fact finder of the three bloggers. Traveling has always been something that she thoroughly enjoys, having been to various domestic and international locales. One of the best things about visiting these places is finding out the roots of the small or large cities and towns. Her roots grew in very small town that is adjacent to the Blue Ridge Mountains and moved on to college four years ago. Since she has been studying at a university level, her need to explore more and to discover the world around her has only been fueled by seeing her classmates travel around the world.Danielle enjoys frequenting the museums, art galleries and locally owned shops. Paired with an affinity to learn about history since she was a child, her ability to research give her the drive to find the best, quirky and most interesting facts possible. In the future, she has plans to road trip to Savannah, Georgia and cruise the exotic locations of St. Maarten, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas in hopes to unravel the history behind why they are so wonderful. Blogging about traveling is something she is considering a new adventure in her life and she is excited to dive right in and learn more about the country she loves!

This is GREAT, ladies! And now a favor - I’m looking to go to grad school in the South - can you post any info on college life in some of these places? I need a place that has good weather, good food, nice people, is easy to get around, and doesn’t have a lot of traffic!

    thanks!
